The income tax treaty and protocol between New Zealand and Turkey, signed on 22 April 2010, entered into force on 28 July 2011. The treaty generally applies in New Zealand from 1 January 2012 for withholding taxes and from 1 April 2012 for other taxes. In Turkey, it applies from 1 January 2012.
