On 30 May 2019, Turkish Presidential Decree No. 1106 of 15 May 2019 entered into force, which abolishes the EUR 22 tax-free threshold for most import shipments. Such import shipments are now subject to customs duty and VAT, although a tax-free threshold for books is maintained at EUR 150.
