On 7 May 2020, the Iraq General Commission for Taxes (GCT) reportedly announced tax return deadline extensions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes that the deadline for 2019 corporate income tax returns and audited financial statements is extended from 31 May 2020 to 31 August 2020, without interest or penalties.
