World Customs Organization Publishes Updated Guide to Customs Valuation and Transfer Pricing — Orbitax Tax News & Alerts

The World Customs Organization (WCO) has published an updated 2018 Edition of its Guide to Customs Valuation and Transfer Pricing. The Guide concerns the relationship between customs valuation and transfer pricing and is designed primarily to assist customs officials responsible for Customs valuation policy or who are conducting audits and controls on multi-national enterprises. The 2018 edition includes updates to reflect developments on transfer pricing including the OECD/G20 BEPS Project and the 2017 OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, information on recent texts concluded by the Technical Committee on Customs Valuation, updates to national initiatives, and minor drafting changes.

The WCO is an independent intergovernmental body first established in 1952 as the Customs Co-operation Council and currently represents the customs administrations of 182 countries/jurisdictions.
