Romania's New Financial Assets Tax
Romania has introduced a financial assets tax effective 1 January 2019. The tax is levied quarterly based on the value of a taxpayer's financial assets at the end of each quarter and applies for banking/credit institutions in Romania, including branches in Romania of foreign institutions.
