Korea (Rep.) and Canada signed a new tax treaty on 5 September 2006 replacing the current Korea (Rep.)_Canada income tax treaty of 10 February 1978. The new treaty is expected to become effective as from 1 January 2007. Under the new treaty, withholding taxes on:
