The income tax treaty between the United Kingdom and Qatar, signed on 25 June 2009, entered into force on 15 October 2010. The treaty generally applies from 1 January 2011 for withholding and other tax purposes and from 1 January 2004 for profits, income and gains from shipping and air transport.
