INTRODUCTION

The Sultanate of Oman is an Arab state located on the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula. The country borders the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen, and sits at the mouth of the Persian Gulf. Oman's economy has been based primarily on oil and gas, although the country has limited reserves. As a result Oman is trying to diversify its economy, especially in areas of agriculture, tourism, manufacturing and mining, and provides incentives for investment.

Currency is Omani Rial (OMR).
