On 5 February 2018, the Kuwait Council of Ministers approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Bangladesh and the pending protocol to the 1997 income and capital tax treaty with Turkey. The tax treaty with Bangladesh, signed 19 February 2014, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged ({News-2015-02-02/T/2-previous coverage}). The protocol to the tax treaty with Turkey, signed 14 September 2017, is the first to amend the treaty and will also enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged ({News-2017-11-17/T/2-previous coverage}).
