The State Tax Service (STS) of Ukraine has announced the signing of an agreement with the EU to take part in the EU's programme for cooperation in the field of taxation (Fiscalis). The Fiscalis programme enables participating countries, their tax administrations, and their officials to work together in the fight against tax fraud, tax evasion, and aggressive tax planning. According to a related release from the European Commission, the two sides have also signed an agreement for Ukraine's participation in the EU's Customs programme.

State Tax Service strengthens partnership relations with tax administrations of the EU member states
Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko and the EU Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni signed Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on the participation of Ukraine in the EU program for cooperation in taxation field "Fiscalis" in Brussels on September 5, 2022.
Signing of this Agreement strengthens cooperation of the State Tax Service of Ukraine with tax administrations of the EU member states, including in terms of the tax information exchange, support for development of tax policy measures and implementation of the EU tax legislation, counteraction against tax evasion and improvement of tax administration processes, as well as use of modern European IT systems in taxation field.
The EU program "Fiscalis" is aimed at supporting tax authorities in improving functioning of internal market and promoting competitiveness and fair competition in the EU.
Protection of financial and economic interests of the EU and its member states is among goals of the EU program "Fiscalis", as well as from tax fraud, tax evasion and improvement of their administration processes.
