Argentina Provides Temporary Tax Relief Measures

Argentina published Decree 561/2019 and Decree 567/2019 in the Official Gazette on 15 August and 16 August 2019, respectively. The Decrees provide for certain temporary tax relief measures.

Decree 561/2019 provides for the following:

• a 20% increase in the basic personal allowance and the special allowance for the 2019 tax year with immediate effect, including that tax withheld so far for 2019 is to be adjusted accordingly and the excess tax withheld refunded;
