Austrian Council of Ministers Authorizes Negotiation of Amending Protocol to Tax Treaty with the UAE

During its meeting on 15 April 2026, the Austrian Council of Ministers authorized the negotiation of an amending protocol to the 2003 income treaty with the United Arab Emirates, which is meant to promote investment activities between the two countries. Any resulting protocol would be the second to amend the treaty and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
