Colombia Introduces Measures to Recognize, Promote, and Strengthen the Music Sector

Colombia has established a framework to recognize, promote, and strengthen the music sector in Colombia through Law No. 2615 of 29 July 2026. Among other things, this includes the following tax measures:

• A VAT zero-rate for musical compositions, sheet music, arrangements, original audio recordings (phonograms), and other creative musical expressions in both physical and digital formats by classifying them as cultural products equivalent to books and magazines;
