Officials from Argentina and Japan recently met to discuss bilateral relations, including Japan's interest in bringing the pending income tax treaty between the two countries into force. The treaty, signed 27 June 2019, will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
