Japan's Finance Minister has recently announced the Japan will go ahead with the second planned increase in the consumption tax despite poor growth in the country. The rate will be increased to 10% from 8% effective 1 October 2015. The consumption tax was increased to 8% from 5% effective 1 April 2014.
