Nigeria's Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) issued a public notice on 30 April regarding COVID-19 penalty relief on tax arrears that arises as a result of a desk review, tax audit, or investigation. The notice provides that interest and penalties will be waived for taxpayers with such outstanding tax debt as long as the debt is paid in full by 31 May 2020.
