Poland Reintroduces Temporary 8% VAT Rate on Motor Fuels Again

Poland has published the Regulation of the Minister of Finance and Economy of 2 October 2026, amending the regulation on reduced VAT rates. The Regulation reintroduces a temporary reduction in the VAT rate on certain motor fuels from the standard rate of 23% to 8%. As previously reported, Poland had temporarily reduced the VAT rate on qualifying motor fuels to 8% from 31 March 2026, with the reduced rate subsequently extended through June 2026, and reintroduced in August 2026.
