U.S. FinCEN Permanently Ends Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting Requirements for U.S. Companies and Persons

The U.S. Treasury Department has announced the issuance of a final rule on 11 August 2026 by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) that permanently ends Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements for U.S. companies and persons. Under the new rule:
