Update - UAE Federal Tax Authority Confirms Entry into Force of Amendments to Administrative Penalties for Violation of Tax Laws

The UAE Federal Tax Authority has issued a release confirming the entry into force of Cabinet Decision No. (129) of 2025, which is effective 14 April 2026. As previously reported, Cabinet Decision No. (129) of 2025 amended Cabinet Decision No. (40) of 2017, including changes to the tables on penalties relating to the Tax Procedures Law and penalties relating to the Value Added Tax Law.
