There are broad exemptions from withholding taxes on dividends, interest and royalties paid to non-resident recipients. Also, capital gains derived by non-residents are exempt from tax in Ireland in most cases. These broad exemptions alone or in combination with the exemptions available under EU Directives and tax treaties mean that in practice most outbound payments will not suffer tax in Ireland.
