5.6. Qualification of Specific Income Categories for Tax Purposes


The term “dividend” generally includes any cash/ non-cash distributions in respect of shares of the company.


The term “interest” includes income from any kind of debt claims, as also from bonds, promissory notes, and other forms of borrowing. It also includes income derived from financing operations and income received under financial lease agreements etc.


The term “royalties” includes any compensation received for:

  • The use or granting the right to use copyright on any works of literature, arts or science, including computer programs, cine-films, telefilms, video-films or recordings for radio and television; and
  • Any patent certifying the right to the object of industrial property, trademark, design or model, plan, secret formula or process, or to information (know-how) related to industrial, commercial or scientific experience.
