According to a release from Turkey's Social Security Institution, officials from Japan and Turkey met via video conference for social security agreement negotiations beginning 12 October 2020, with talks to continue through 15 October. Any resulting agreement will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
