Polish Parliament Approves Law to Ratify Pending Social Security Agreement with Japan

The Polish Senate (upper house of parliament) approved the law to ratify the pending social security agreement with Japan on 24 September 2026. The law was approved by the Sejm (lower house) on 18 September 2026 and has been sent to the president to be formally signed. The agreement, signed 15 April 2026, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
