According to a release from the Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Albania and Cyprus met on 2 June 2025 to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations, including through the conclusion of an income tax treaty, with negotiations planned for October 2025. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
