According to a release from the Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Algeria and Kazakhstan met on 7 December 2023 to discuss bilateral cooperation, including the possible signing of an income tax treaty. Any treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
