The Armenian government has reportedly approved a draft law for the introduction of a new tax on Passenger Transportation Services booked through online platforms. The tax would initially be imposed at a rate of 1.5% for cashless transactions and 2.0% for cash transactions from 1 September 2024. The rates would be increased to 2.5% and 3.5% in 2025 for cashless and cash transactions, respectively, and further increased to 4.0% and 5.0% in 2026.
