According to a release from Mongolia's Ministry of Family, Labour, and Social Protection, officials from Australia and Mongolia met from 10 to 13 November 2025 to continue negotiations for a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
