According to a post from the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Austria and Bangladesh met on 29 April 2024 and agreed to deepen bilateral relations including through the signing of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
