According to a post by the Austrian Embassy in Libya, officials from Austria and Libya recently met to discuss bilateral relations, with both sides expressing their hope that the new income tax treaty currently under negotiation will be finalized soon. The new treaty must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force. An earlier treaty between the two countries was signed in 2010 but never entered into force.
