Austrian Parliament Approves Pending Protocol to Tax Treaty with Uzbekistan

Austria's Federal Council (upper house of parliament - Bundesrat) approved the pending protocol to the 2000 income and capital tax treaty with Uzbekistan on 16 July 2026, following its approval by the National Council (lower house of parliament) on 7 July 2026. The Protocol will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the exchange of the ratification instruments and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
