Bangladesh Finance Act 2023 and Income Tax Act 2023 Published

The Bangladesh National Board of Revenue (NBR) has published the Finance Act 2023 and the Income Tax Act 2023, which contain measures for the National Budget 2023-24 and others. Some of the main income tax measures include:

• Standard income tax brackets/rates are set as follows:
  • up to BDT 350,000 - Nil
  • over BDT 350,000 up to 450,000 (next BDT 100,000) - 5%
  • over BDT 450,000 up to 750,000 (next BDT 300,000) - 10%
