On 26 September 2024, officials from Bangladesh and Uzbekistan met to discuss bilateral cooperation, including the conclusion of the negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
