Bolivia Repeals Financial Transactions Tax

Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz Pereira has enacted Law No. 1717 of 10 April 2026, which repeals the Financial Transactions Tax (Impuesto a las Transacciones Financieras – ITF). The brief law contains only a single article that repeals Law No. 3446 of 21 July 2026, which is the law that introduced the ITF. Law No. 1717 was published in the Official Gazette on 11 April 2026 and is effective from that date, with no transitional provisions.
