Brazil has published Presidential Decree No. 9.482 of 27 August 2018 in the Official Gazette for bringing the protocol to the 1980 tax treaty with Argentina into force in Brazil. Although the protocol already entered into force on 29 July 2018 as per the terms of the protocol ({News-2018-07-09/T/2-previous coverage}), in respect of Brazil, such protocols, treaties, etc. are not officially in force in the country until such a decree is published.
