Brazil has published Ordinance No. 9/2019, which sets the social security (INSS) brackets for employee contributions for 2019. The monthly brackets and contributions rates are as follows:
- up to BRL 1,751.81 - 8%
- over BRL 1,751.82 up to 2,919.72 - 9%
- over BRL 2,919.73 up to 5,839.45 - 11%
As compared to 2018, the bracket thresholds are increased, while the rates remain the same.
