The Brazilian Chamber of Deputies is currently considering draft legislation to suspend the levy of state value added tax (ICMS) on digital goods, such as apps, e-books, software, games, etc. supplied to consumers (B2C). ICMS collection is to be suspended because such digital supplies may also be subject to municipal services tax (ISS), which amounts to double taxation ({News-2018-03-30/A/2-previous coverage}).
