Burundi National Assembly Approves Pending Tax Treaty with the UAE

According to a post from Burundi's National Assembly (lower house of parliament), the pending income tax treaty with the United Arab Emirates was approved on 12 May 2026. The treaty, signed 16 February 2017, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
