According to an update from the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department, officials from Cameroon and Hong Kong are scheduled to hold the first round of negotiations for an income tax treaty from 11 to 15 August 2025. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
