Canada's Department of Finance has announced the launch of consultations on improving support for research and development and on creating and retaining intellectual property in Canada. This includes consultation papers on:
- Cost-neutral ways to modernize and improve the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program; and,
- The suitability of creating a patent box regime.
