Canada and Saudi Arabia Launch Tax Treaty Negotiations

On 9 July 2026, the Canadian Prime Minister's Office issued a release announcing, among other things, that Canada and Saudi Arabia have launched negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
