On 24 December 2025, the Assembly of the Union of the Comoros approved the decree allowing for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Morocco. The treaty, signed 31 March 2022, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
