The Business Council of Australia released an updated Corporate Taxation – International Comparison report in which it said that "the news is not good" as Australia's corporate tax burden is now above that of other OECD countries as well as of main trading partners of Australia. The report stresses that if no urgent remedial action is taken, there exists a risk that Australia will become increasingly uncompetitive as an investment destination.
