On 14 Jun 2019, the Croatian parliament approved the law for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Japan. The treaty, signed 19 October 2018, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force on the thirtieth day following the exchange of the ratification instruments and will generally apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
