Cyprus and India to Commence Negotiations for Social Security Agreement

According to a Joint Statement on the State Visit of the President of the Republic of Cyprus to India, published 22 May 2026, the leaders of the two countries have "agreed on the commencement of negotiations for a social security agreement at the earliest". Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
