According to a release from Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Cyprus and Kenya met on 7 July 2025 to discuss bilateral relations, including plans for the future negotiation of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
