Egypt and Romania Looking to Conclude Social Security Agreement

According to a release from Romania's Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, officials from Egypt and Romania met on 8 September 2026 to discuss the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, including through the conclusion of a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
