On 15 July 2020, the European Commission (the Commission) published a communication on Tax Good Governance in the European Union (EU) and beyond (the Communication) which aims to further strengthen how the EU can promote transparency, address what it defines as unfair tax competition and promote the application of internationally agreed standards.
