The European Parliament has announced its approval of two legislative acts for the implementation of the trade deal with the United States on 26 March 2026, with additional provisions to protect EU interests if the United States does not meet its commitments under the deal. The trade deal was reached by U.S. President Donald Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in July 2025.
