Greece to Cut Taxes on Oil and Gas Companies
On 1 July 2014, Greece's Minister of Environment, Energy, and Climate Change announced plans to reduced the rate of tax on oil and gas companies from 40% to 25%. The change is aimed at increasing oil and gas exploration in Greece. Along with the tax cut, royalty payments of 2% to 20% on hydrocarbons produced will be introduced
No proposed effective date for the changes has been given.
