According to an update from the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department, officials from Hong Kong and Slovenia are holding the first round of negotiations for an income tax treaty from 26 to 30 January 2026. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
